PORTS INFORMATION

SEARSPORT

The primary port in Penobscot Bay. The terminal is located at Mack Point at the north end of the Bay and has two piers for unloading a wide variety of liquid and dry cargoes. The Sprague dock handles liquid cargo and can accommodate vessels up to 700’ in length, 106’ beam and a maximum draft of 35’. More >

Port-of-Bucksport-Maine

BUCKSPORT

The Webber dock in Bucksport is the only terminal currently receiving liquid bulk products on the Penobscot River. The dock can accommodate vessels up to 700’ length, 106’ beam and a maximum draft of 35’ (brackish) for docking at high water. More >

BANGOR/BREWER

The only commercial traffic going to Bangor at this time are small coastal passenger vessels during the summer and fall.  Across the river in Brewer, Cianbro Corporation has renovated the old Eastern Fine Paper Mill is is building modular components for industrial use. More >

BAR HARBOR

Bar Harbor is a seasonal port that handles all sizes of passenger vessels.  During the 2020 season (April through November) there are 196 vessels scheduled to call at Bar Harbor.  167 of those vessels will require pilots. More >
